Background
Dr. Novak started as an assistant professor at Virginia Tech in December of where he focused on program development (local, regional and national) related to nutrition and management practices of commercial poultry, with an emphasis on meat-type poultry (broilers and turkeys).
Dr. Novak’s research interests included enzyme supplementation, environment (minerals and nitrogen), non-antibiotic feeding programs and other nutritional factors that affect the overall development and production of poultry. From his work, he has authored and co-authored a number of manuscripts, extension and trade publications and abstracts. In 2007, Dr. Novak joined Land O’Lakes Purina Feed as Manager of Field Sales and Technical Services for the Commercial Poultry Team. He is currently Manager of Poultry Sales and Research for Purina Animal Nutrition and resides in Kansas City, MO.
