Background
Murali Raghavendra Rao grew up in Bengaluru, India. His passion for biology and numbers led him to a career in agricultural statistics and data science. Murali received his bachelors and master’s degrees in agriculture from the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore, India, and later earned his Ph.D. and a second master’s degree from the University of Tennessee.
Murali joined Purina in 2010 as Manager of Statistical Services. He and his team proudly serve over 30 Ph.D. scientists across Purina Technical Innovation and cater to their statistical, data, and digital needs. The team consists of statisticians, data scientists, and data engineers. Murali currently serves as the Director of Statistical services and Data Intelligence group at Purina Technical Innovation. Murali is also an Accredited Professional Statistician, an accreditation awarded by the American Statistical Association.
