Background
When Amberley Snyder rides in to a rodeo arena, crowds cheer with inspiration by her will to compete and her desire to overcome life's obstacles.
Amberley started riding horses at the age of three and competing in rodeo at the age of seven. She competed through junior high and high school, often qualifying for national rodeos. Amberley has won multiple titles, including the Finals and World All-Around Cowgirl for the National Little Britches Association. She also served as the Utah FFA State President in 2009. Amberley recently graduated from Utah State University with a degree in Agricultural Education and is pursuing a degree in School Counseling.
In 2010, Amberley's life changed completely when she was involved in a paralyzing car accident. Though the odds were against her, Amberley's passion for rodeo helped her break past her physical barriers. Just 18 months after her accident, Amberley was back in the saddle. In 2015, Amberley competed in in the world's richest one-day rodeo, The American. Today, Amberley competes across the nation on the amateur and professional rodeo circuit in barrel racing and breakaway roping. Amberley has been recognized by the National Cowgirl Hall of Fame and the National Cowboy Heritage Museum and Hall of Fame. Amberley travels the nation sharing her story of triumph over tragedy and hopes to inspire others that no matter what happens, they have the strength to overcome it.
