    • Feeding Directions

      Best Results

      1. Feed Purina® Start & Grow® continuously as the sole ration from hatch until laying age (18-20 weeks). Or for a flock of various types of poultry, feed Purina® Flock Raiser® free-choice until laying age.
      2. At 18-20 weeks of age, feed Purina® Layena® free-choice. Be sure to gradually transition from one feed to the next.
      3. Always provide shelter and a constant supply of fresh, clean water.
      4. Consumption will vary depending upon season of the year, nutritional needs of the animals and availability of other foods.

      Caution

Store in a dry, well-ventilated area free from rodents and insects. Never use moldy or insect-infested feed.

      Important

A feeding program is only as effective as the management practices. Actual results can vary depending upon feed intake, environmental conditions and the quality of management practices.

Days old Chicks went crazy once I ground it

I'm a beginner and noticed when I got the chicks it seemed like they were having a problem eating the size of this feed. I ground some up to a smaller size (not powder) and they went crazy eating the feed for hours. Planning on doing this for a couple weeks.

Eggcellent!!

I started my baby chicks on this feed and they have done wonderfully. Matter of fact, we use Purina almost exclusively. Anytime we have ever had a problem, which is only once or twice, it’s not Purina, it comes from sitting in a feed store warehouse!

Great starter for my birds!

I purchased this at a popular farm store that is not located in my immediate area. Wish it was in farm store closer to me. All of my birds (quail, turkeys, chickens, ducks and guineas) love it.

Healthy strong chicks!

I use this for my chicks. They grow healthy and strong. Great formula. I raise some fragile bantam breeds and this gives them a good start! Thanks Purina!❤️
